modularArts® Sculptural Panels are the result of two decades' experience in custom moldings and castings for commercial and residential interiors. We've taken a special interest in projects for wall surfaces created by relief (or bas relief) carving and molding, and applied these types of surface designs to a modular panel (patent pending) that aligns in horizontal and vertical repetitions. This allows the "module" to be applied to any interior wall for a continuous sculptural surface.
Cementitious, mineral composites have been favored by architects and designers around the world for their superior fire properties, relative light weight, and absence of harmful plastic content.
Because our panels are entirely mineral they will not burn. The panels act as a thermal regulator when exposed to flame, protecting the materials behind them from the heat of the flame for up to two hours. (In new construction our panels must be installed over existing drywall where firewalls are required by local code. Although they are a good fire barrier, our panels are not intended to substitute for the code requirements of drywall.) ModularArts' Sculptural Panels are suitable for interior use only.
