SmartSlab™ is an amazing multimedia art display system providing a unique digital canvas for design and communication. SmartSlab™ is also the world’s toughest modular display tile. It is the only fire resistant display available and is completely weatherproof.
The system displays moving and still images and can be integrated as part of any wall or floor surface.
Moving and still images on the display are controlled by a standard PC system using custom SmartSlab™ software. For giant displays, a special system provides video at full speed.
Inspired by the naturally efficient optics of a fly’s eye, the display uses hexagonal pixels ( hexels) to enable finer image quality than a standard square pixel. The red, green and blue light emitting diode contained within each hexel emits a range of 16 million possible colours.
The 60cm square modular unit has a depth of only 7.5cm.
This can be combined into larger and more complex display areas, enabling fantastic possibilities. The display size can range from a single tile up to 100 square metres or more.
SmartSlab™ can function in outside environments in most parts of the world. It is weatherproof, fire resistant, scratch resistant, vandal proof, environmentally neutral and cost-effective to run.
