Fractal supplied 10.000 m2 corrugated aluminium sheets for the Torre Agbar tower (Barcelona, Spain). 95% of the sheets were standard aluminium sheets and 5% were glossy stainless steel sheets type 316L. The aluminium sheets are powder coated in 40 different colors which gives the building the effect of a piece of rock, the colors are inspired by Antoni Gaudi. The sheets were specially made on demand of the architect Jean Nouvel with a corrugation of 37 mm wide and 20 mm high. Because of the special form of the building they needed a maximum tolerance of 0,05 mm on the corrugation of 37 mm. In total we delivered 52 tons of aluminium and 6 ton stainless steel.
