The Factory

Abet's plants extend over an industrial area of 220,000 sqmt.
Every day, 11 soaking machines produce 270 tonnes of semi-processed materials for Print HPL and Folden.
Daily output for high-pressure Print laminate and continuous Folden laminate comes to 160,000 sqmt.
Every year, 30 million samples of Print HPL and Folden laminate are produced and shipped out.

Silk Screen Printing Laboratory
Since the Sixties this Laboratory has seen the involvement of designers from all over the world, who have created 577 original patterns, resulting in 2656 varieties of colour and finishing. Over the years, some 10 thousand colour and texture variants have been produced to customer order.

Printwood

Foldline

Foldline is a continuous laminate made up of layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resins and a surface of a decorative layer impregnated with aminoplast resins pressed in continuous on double belt press machine at very high temperature (>150°C).

- The product can be postformed.
- The back side is suitable for gluing.
- The product is supplied in rolls allowing its economical use with less waste.

The texture of the surface is pleasantly "warm" but is also resistant to wear and tear, heat, light, normal domestic staining agents an cleaning products. The surface is also non porous, hygienic, antiallergenic.

Pral

Pral, a product of Abet Group, is an artificial material. In its most current meaning, the adjective ."artificial" refers to "that which is produced or obtained by artifice, especially in juxtaposition to natural".

8ehind its apparent impartiality, this definition actually hides a message, which is not at ali impartial: everything that is natural is good, and everything that is artificial is not. Or, at least, inferior, impure and less valuable. Although this may be true in many cases, in others it is not at ali: so if the alchemies of nature can create a material like silk or wood -noble natural products by definition -the alchemies of man have for a long time shown themselves able to create artificial products which are just as noble. Products. or rather, materials, which captivate us, which we want to touch and which we want to have around us.

In other words, materials which can evoke emotions, arouse ideas, convey a message and tell a story. Pral is such a material. It has a chemical. technological and creative formula, and its essence is beauty. colour, formability and functionality.

Rather than merely reproducing aspects of materials existing in nature, Pral has its own personality and uniqueness, its own destiny. Despite its short history, it has ali the necessary qualifications to make history in the future.
