Central Library, Seattle/ Rem Koolhaas Office for Metropolitan Architecture, Rotterdam/ Product: OKATECH
Using natural daylight. Saving energy and at the same time creating comfort in the room. Designing windows and façades - from the very first one to the very latest development, Okalux products are particularly characterised by the features required by demanding architects and planners: from insulating glass panes for refracting and directing light, through transparent insulation to façade designs for generating energy or with metal, stone, wood or individual colour element inserts.
Dominique Perrault, City Hall Galleries in Innsbruck/ Product: KAPILUX
Architects and their ideas for a new project provide the initiative for further developments or new products: for the shell of the new City Hall Galleries in Innsbruck, Dominique Perrault called for a material that was suitable for several functional applications - and so Okalux developed the KAPILUX product further.
Pritzker award winner Rem Koolhaas was looking for cladding made of expanded metal for his design for the Central Library in Seattle - Okalux found the solution for him with OKATECH.
