Due to a coherently ecological design concept, the Picto office chair range became an icon of modern design. The environmental aspects of Wilkhahn design guidelines, in force since 1992, are: reduction of number of different materials used; unmixed, clearly coded materials; free of heavy metals also for lacquer; knock-down joints; easy repairability and at least 90% recyclable.
