The linearly designed chairs and tables by Roland Rainer were also at home in a contemporary home setting. The basic cubist form of the chairs could be extended as required to form two or three seaters, and due to a host of variations they merged with any existing design theme. They were connected by means of low table tops to create an entire “sitting landscape”. The table tops in rosewood, teak or walnut corresponded to a style that was popular at the time.
