The chair is shown in Prize Designs for Modern Furniture, by Edgar Kaufmann, Jr. In the text, Kaufmann writes that of the many Knock-down chairs presented in the competition, Tapiovaara's showed the clearest understanding of factory procedures and shipping problems.
