The AJ 237, known also as the Charlottenborg chair, was first exhibited at the Charlottenborg Spring Exhibition of 1937. The curve of the backrest, arms and feet predict later organically inspired forms such as the Ant and Egg chairs. Jacobsen used this chair form on his own garden terrace. An uncommon and early design by Jacobsen.
