In unveiling its new Aero Hybrid II pendant luminaire, Zumtobel is presenting office lighting of the future. This new pendant luminaire combines two efficient light sources which power a system that sets new standards when it comes to lighting quality and ease of use. Aero Hybrid II combines anorganic LEDs, which provide a brilliant direct component and fluorescent lamps for direct general lighting. This hybrid design makes it possible to significantly improve the overall efficiency of the luminaire system compared with conventional luminaires using fluorescent lamps.

The development of anorganic LEDs has resulted in more efficient light sources characterised by extreme brilliance and a long service life. These LEDs, when teamed with highly efficient T16 light sources, provide a hybrid solution which combines the best of both worlds. LEDs for a brilliant, stimulating direct component, and T16 for indirect ambient lighting. This hybrid design boosts overall system efficiency by more than 10% compared with conventional T16 lighting systems.
