A true luxury hotel places high importance on the quality of its beds. Partly because they want their guests to enjoy outstanding comfort, and partly because they need a bed that will be stable and durable for decades, regardless of how they are treated. The Hästens Excelsior easily lives up to these demands.
Developed to perfection
The Excelsior is a continental type bed. In other words, a thick sprung lower section, an extra thick spring mattress and on top of all that, a top mattress for ultimate sleeping comfort. The model has been constantly refined and developed to perfection for 20 years: The middle section features Hästens’ unique Swedish-patented spring system that provides excellent softness and pliability on the surface and a long lifespan. At the same time the lower section supports your body and gives you in-depth relief. The bed has added refinements with Hästens stretch fabric on top and handles on the sides, and the mattress has been edge-stitched by hand. Nothing has been spared to make the Excelsior even more comfortable. The new Excelsior is of the same high standard as the adjustable Citation.

Sizes
All standard sizes have lengths of 200 cm, 210 cm or 220 cm. Round 245 cm in diameter. For custom lengths or widths, the price is set according to the next larger size + addition for “extra”. The Excelsior in widths of 180 cm and 210 cm can be delivered with your choice of one under mattress or two 90 cm or 105 cm wide under mattresses. Please state your choice when ordering. 80 cm in width can be ordered at the same price as 90 cm. Allow around 2 extra weeks for delivery of sizes other than standard.
Firmness
You can order your Excelsior with soft, medium or firm springs. An extra firm Excelsior can be ordered without additional cost. Additional cost for different firmness on one half of bed: 250 ¢. Applies to widths of 180 cm and 210 cm in all lengths. We can also make beds of 160 cm width with different levels of firmness on each side of the bed, with the reservation that the bed may appear narrower on the soft side.
Colour
The standard fabric for an Excelsior is Blue Check. You can choose a different colour for your Excelsior. Allow around 2 extra weeks delivery time for any other colour than the standard blue.

The height of an Excelsior (inc. standard 9 cm legs) is 56 cm, inc. BV 59 cm, inc. BJ 60 cm, inc. BJX 61 cm
Warranty
25 year written warranty against spring and frame breakage from delivery date.
