Ateneo
Architectural purity and a harmonious combination of different materials: these are the distinctive traits of the Ateneo collection. Steel, American cherry and glass, skilfully combined to create a perfect synthesis between functionality and design, and between elegance and technology. Bauhaus-style rationalism is here given a minimalist touch to achieve a design harmony made of delicately traced signs, imperceptible depths, warm and cold materials which merge harmoniously with high technology details. Wengé is combined with glass, steel and aluminium, in a composition witnessing the authoritativeness of the corporate language.
Material and finishes of the top
The work surface is realized in a lightweight, medium density wood fibre. The desk surface is veneered with a maple, natural American cherry or wengé. A border of heartwood, characterized by a line of finish that contrasts with the top, is applied along the entire perimeter of the work surface.
The elliptical work surface can also be in 15 mm thick crystal.
All the materials used conform to the UNI norms and are in the E1 class.
Material and finishes of the structure
The structure of the desk consists of a sustaining “wall”, a leg and a crossbeam. The two sides of the wall are finished with removable panels that can be lacquered in silver, or with the same finishes as the work surfaces.
To the cylindrical legs are applied four scored profiles in anodized aluminium.
The connecting beam between the leg and the wall is lacquered in silver.
Cable management
The wall is predisposed for passing electrical wires that are housed inside a two-way PVC housing. The cable opening, which is opportunely routed directly into the surface, permits the electrification from the lower part to the upper part of the work surface.
