Natural features
Linen is ecological. It is grown using very little chemical fertilisers and the processing stage is environment-friendly.
Next to this linen has a few strong features: it regulates the temperature (it feels warm in winter, cool in summer) is nonallergenic and anti-bacterial.
Durability
The addition of the polyamide to the linen makes it stronger and more flexible.
Lino has been tested by TNO and is suitable for both private and contract market.
Colourfastness
The linen is bleached before it is coloured, this makes the yarn more colourfast compared to unbleached yarn.
Maintenance
It is important for the durability of your rug, to vacuum it at least one time per week. Never use a rotating vacuum brush on this quality; this will damage your rug permanently.
Preferably use an attachment, meant for furniture; this is the most effective way to remove dirt and dust.
The ideal air humidity in a space is around 50%. When the air humidity is under 50%, the linen becomes too dry and this can decrease the durability of your rug.
Wearing rubber soles on a linen rug will result in a quicker wear, especially when making rotating or shifting movements at one place.
We recommend to turn your rug once in a while, in order to prevent heavy use on one particular place.
