Spinning process
The core-spun yarn is produced by wrapping a cover structure around a central yarn structure. The fibre is dyed and a fusible fibre is added to the blend before spinning. The construction is built during the spinning process and then felted to bind the fibres together. The fusible fibre in the blend is also activated during the drying of the yarn after felting to help the binding of the two structures together. The felting process is a mechanical process to bind the fibres, and the fusible fibre is a technical addition to help this binding. The yarn, constructed in this way, is a luxurious yarn and its use for heavy contract purposes can be limited.

Durability
As with every natural product, the structure of the material changes depending on how the product is treated. The Corale yarn has a long pile and, depending on how the rug is treated, the structure can open up and show a less granular appearance. This change is a natural process and is one of the special features of this quality. The degree of change can be reduced by following the maintenance routine below. It can also be minimized in the areas where heel shuffle or turning occurs by turning the rug regularly. It must be noted that IF the yarn does open up, the core colour becomes more visible, which results in a slightly different look.
Corale has been tested by TNO and is suitable for both the private and contract market.

Fire safety
Corale is made from 100% pure new wool, which is naturally flame retardant.

Maintenance
It is important to vacuum your rug at least once a week to prolong its durability. The most effective way to remove dirt and dust is with the furniture cleaning attachment provided with your vacuum cleaner. A vacuum cleaner with a standard nozzle tends to remove less dust and dirt.
Vacuuming a new rug will produce fluff, but this will be temporary. The production of this fluff does not affect the quality of your rug.
The ideal air humidity for wool is around 50%. It must be noted that, when the air humidity is below 50%, the material becomes dry and its natural elasticity will decrease.
In order to prevent the wool from drying out, we recommend misting your woollen rug with water a few times a year.
If rubber soles are frequently walked over a woollen rug it will wear quicker, especially if rotating or shifting movements are consistently made in one place.
In order to prevent heavy use on one particular location, we recommend turning your rug around once in a while.
