AN INGENIOUS and brilliant concept combined with technologically advanced production. This is the background of the development of Click, the recent table series from Engelbrechts, designed by the Danish designer Erik Magnussen.
Click is a highly functional table range comprising a wide assortment of table tops with possible linking of corner leafs, modesty panels and cable ducts.
The table range is applicable anywhere people gather to dine, study and work.
Click is based on an innovative principle: A leg base mounted onto the table top without any tools and linkable with several table tops.
Erik Magnussen is one of Denmark's most respected and versatile designers. He has received a string of design awards. Click is the proof that obvious solutions are feasible – and that the functional form is the finest design expression.
CLICK IS a table of high quality, it is reasonable in price with a simple and logically constructive shape. The table series features table tops on 3 widths and 5 lengths as well as corner elements in 4 different angles. The range also includes modesty panels, cable ducts, name plates and transport trolleys.
The leg bases are black-grey, silver-grey lacquered or chrome-plated with black clip fittings.
The table tops are available in grey and white laminate or in black-stained ash veneer or natural beech veneer. The tables are fitted with soft edge profiles in order to protect chairs in use with the tables.
Click derives its name from the leg bases: they are clicked onto the edge profiles of the table with only a minimum of effort. This linking concept, which – together with the many finish and accessory options – make almost any table configuration possible.
The leg bases are fitted anywhere along the length of the table top. When assembling tables and linking with corner elements, only one leg base is used for each connection, suspension fittings for modesty panels and cable ducts are also "clicked" directly onto the leg bases.
Linking and assembly of Click elements is an easy and smooth process. Necessary storage room for table tops, leg bases and other parts is minimal.
CLICK IS extremely functional. The simple shapes and angles, in a variety of finishes and sizes, supplement each other resulting in many possible applications.
The flexibility of the table series makes it possible to create many different configurations by means of the same tables:
As individual canteen tables, with a laminate surface, which is easy to clean, and soft edges to protect chairs in use with the tables.
As add-on tables for lecture rooms, seminar and conference rooms. For seminar arrangements in long parallel rows with modesty panels and name plates – and for conference arrangements where corner elements with different angles enable configurations such as horse-shoe, oval or trapeze shapes.
As individual desks with "wings" and cable ducts.
As work tables in the home.
The Click transport trolleys are suitable whenever Click must be frequently assembled and dissembled.
