The Cubrik family was born in 2005 with two hanging lamps of 36 and 100 plates and owes its name to the famous Rubik cube. Antoni Arola’s idea was to make a largesized cubical lamp that would offer as many possibilities of composition as there are moods, so that the user could have a different lamp at any given moment. Today the series consists of three hanging lamps: one with a domestic format (36 plates), another for large areas (100 plates), a new lamp reduced to 16 plates that can be transformed into a table lamp, and a table lamp with 36 plates. He has also included a wall lamp, the Wall-Cubrik module that can be multiplied to illuminate an entire wall. The family does not just grow in formats, but also in colours. The possibility of making the inside of the plates red intensifies the sense of warmth and increases the play of light.
