AGITARI is the name of a new elegant shell chair designed by Peter Karpf. The chair’s thin, elegant wooden shell and its four characteristic corners give a stunning first impression. Its form leads thoughts to a piece of gauze fluttering lightly in the breeze; hence the Latin name AGITARI, which means ‘something waving in the wind’.
The chair is a result of Peter Karpf’s many years of pioneering work with plywood. This exciting material has many uses and has made it possible for Peter Karpf to create a wooden shell with minimal thickness that gives sublime comfort by supporting the body’s own form.
