Table ANVERS was designed in 1971 by the Belgium couple Claire Bataille and Paul ibens. Table TE 21, as it was called at that time (now named after the location of the office of Bataille-ibens) was in Spectrum’s collection for a number of years. Because of its contemporary appearance Anvers still fits into the current time without any problem. The table has a stainless steel frame, partly brushed and partly beaded in the angles of the frame, which combination gives a special effect.
The top can be in various finishes: a wood veneer – natural or black stained ash, as also applied in the 70’s, or with a laminate (in various colours). Striking detail of the top is that both short ends don’t have a sharp edge, but are round with exactly the same radius as the radius of the corner parts of the frame. These details show that this simple and accessible design suddenly can be a striking item! Available in 1 size of 200 x 90 x 75 cm.
