Ambitious, manoeuvrable, comfortable: the designer Glen Oliver Löw has made the topic of sitting comfort in the conference room and office executive business at Thonet. The comfortable conference and office swivel chair S 50 FDR possesses numerous setting variations which allow maximum flexibility. The conference and office swivel chair S 50 FDR is equipped with a synchronised mechanical adjustment system. The height and tilt of the chair and the setting of the backrest can be varied individually – the seat and back parts are separate elements. A lever under the seat can be used to adjust the seat height with a compressed gas spring. The seating depth can be adjusted by pressing a button underneath the seat. The backrest is available in two heights, so that an optimal individual sitting position can be achieved. An armrest mounted on the backrest and seat mechanism also promotes a comfortable sitting experience. The armrests are covered with moulded plywood or are upholstered - overall an aesthetically convincing comfort experience.

The S 50 FDR has a foam-covered metal frame and a polished aluminium or chrome plated tubular steel stand on castors. The swivel chair can be used in the executive office and in conference rooms and is perfectly suited to combination with the S 60 visitor’s chair, also by Glen Oliver Löw.

Coverings are available in leather and the current Thonet fabric collection. Striking contouring is lent to the chair by the visible keder and decorative stitching worked, among other places, into the front side of the backrest – they give the Executive Chair a characteristic appearance. As the S 50 FDR the chair is fitted with a normal height backrest, as the S 51 FDR it has a higher backrest.
