The cantilever family S 90 made of chrome plated tubular steel convinces with it great sitting comfort and its great diversity of variations both in the seminar area as well as in the conference room. The practical attractively designed all-round programme is produced in proven, long-lasting Thonet quality and is applicable in many contract markets. The version with the back mesh covering (S 92) possesses a characteristic “waisted” form. Timeless, functional, elegant:
The timeless design of the S 90 series is characterised by elegant line contouring and balanced proportions. The customer has a large selection of cover qualities and colours. The ergonomic moulded plywood shell can be optionally chosen in stained beech, in many exotic veneer coverings or in various painted finishes; in addition they can be applied with leather or fabric partial upholstery. The backrest is also available in different varieties. The armrests are covered with elastomer synthetic material. The programme is also available as a stackable version.
Glen Oliver Löw
The designer of the cantilever series S 90, Glen Oliver Löw, has been awarded for his products with numerous design prizes. He was born in 1959 in Leverkusen. After he received his industrial design diploma at the GH University of Wuppertal, Glen Oliver Löw went to the Domus Academy in Milan to complete his Master of Design degree. As a partner to Antonio Citterion in Milan from 1987 to 2000 he designed numerous products for companies such as Ansorg, Flos, Hackman, Kartell, Maxdata, Vitra and Vitrashop. As early as 1996, he was responsible for the development of a new branch concept for the Commerzbank and in 1998 for the interior design concept for the Smart sales architecture for Daimler-Chrysler. In the year 2000 he opened his own design studio and was appointed as Professor for Product Design and Product Development at the Hamburg Academy of Visual Arts, where he is active today.
