A series of elegant easy chairs characterized by an exceptional quality, a clear function, and a light, elegant, and timeless Danish design. This furniture was developed for both private and public spaces where extremely heavy demands are made on strength, design, and function.
The simple design and the high degree of comfort make Melon an obvious choice, whether it is a question of renovated classic buildings or new buildings with the emphasis on representative function. The furniture covers a wide field of applications as from private homes to lobbies, waiting areas, receptions etc.
Melon is available as high-back chair, as low-back chair, and as footstool. Melon has a conic, hand-lathed trumpet-shaped base in brushed steel and is available fully upholstered in fabric or in the best full grain, aniline tanned oxhide. Alternatively it can be offered in full grain, vegetable tanned leather. In the range of fabrics we make heavy demands on a timeless design, abrasion, and colour fastness; the fabrics are available in a wide range of designs and colours. The moulded shells, slightly separated by spacers in burnished steel, stress the light idiom and look.
In a dynamic manner this furniture joins the best from Danish design with the best of Danish furniture workmanship and thus attains both a sculptural and a functional status, wherever the furniture is being placed.
Each product of the Melon series bears a number and is delivered with a certificate proving the genuineness of the product. Melon is an expression of our specialist knowledge, and we therefore grant a warranty of 5 years against manufacturing defects on construction as well as on fabric and leather.
