Providing brilliant, pinpoint light, PYTHAGORAS sets the perfect stage for any object on display – whether in museums, galleries or shops. The patented system uses a prismatic optic to project a two-dimensional beam of light into the room, presenting the goods and products displayed to optimum effect. Especially in hard-to-access areas, the maintenance-free recessed luminaire, which is operated via remote control, is the long desired lighting solution.

PYTHAGORAS provides a perfect alternative to conventional gimbal-mounted luminaires. Thanks to a new patented light direction system, this innovative recessed luminaire turns every object into an eye-catcher. Providing precise, pinpoint lighting accents, it is ideal for setting the lighting stage – both for large-scale and small-scale projects. Main application areas for PYTHAGORAS include museums, galleries, retail areas, shop windows, display cabinets and large showcases.

Patented light direction
Using an innovative prismatic optic, PYTHAGORAS selectively directs the light emitted into the room and onto specific objects. In doing so, the direction of the two-dimensional, narrow light beam can be adjusted to an angle of up to 30°, as required. This preserves an uncluttered, harmonious ceiling look, even if several, differently aligned luminaires are used, making the mess created by chaotically arranged recessed and surface-mounted spotlights with different radiation characteristics a thing of the past.

Convenient use and maintenance
The 2 glass prisms – and thus the direction of the light beam – can be adjusted to meet individual requirements at any time: either mechanically, using two adjusting shafts installed near the luminaire frame, or via a motor drive with remote control. The latter ensures maximum application convenience, providing a particularly interesting option for hard-to-access areas. Maintenance, too, is extremely user-friendly. The different light sources – HIT or QT – can be replaced without the use of any tools, by simply removing the prismatic optic.
