James Irvine developed a matching table program along with his chair. The characteristic of these tables is their organic aesthetics, their formal reduction and their elegance. The details and material mix make these tables special – for example the slanted, veneered table edge. A 660 was not designed for any specific sector. It can be used in versatile ways: apartments, meeting and conference rooms, waiting areas, restaurants. A 660, ”the loop chair,” convinces with its simplicity of form, reduction of materials and combination of modern and traditional elements. The core of the design is a bentwood frame onto which a polyester mesh is stretched. A metal bracket holds the seat, a support column leads to the base element. The design combines the tradition and warmth of wood with the lightness and comfort of modern materials. The bentwood frame is available with a transparent varnish or stained, the mesh is available in silver, copper or black, the frame in polished aluminium or powder coating. A 660 can be purchased with or without armrests, with a round or cross-shaped base. The seat swivels.
