This cast iron planter provides a large capacity for plants and shrubs and adds its own ornamental value, either as a domestic flowerpot or as a line to mark out urban limits. It is extremely useful in creating alignments.
This cast iron planter was designed as a line to mark out urban limits and to create lines of vegetation in those areas with subsoil restrictions in which natural planting is difficult. It is also for areas which have temporary or occasional urban design needs. Its dimensions mean it can be used for the alignment of stretches of shrubs. It is useful in defining the limits between the road and pedestrian areas and creates both a more pleasant and safer barrier than other items of this kind because of its physical presence.
The Tram planter requires aerial planting of shrubs and clumps of flowers which rise towards the sky. Its beauty is part of the unit and should not be hidden by the vegetation. It is even pleasant to look at when it is empty or when it contains only plants in a dormant period. It comes in two lengths, of one and two metres, so it may be adapted to smaller spaces. In patios, gardens and on domestic roof tops it is a familiar-type planter and an ornamental unit in its own right.
The planter is made in a single grey FG-22 cast iron part finished with anti-rust primer and a coat of black forged Oxiron paint. It has holes in the sides to install trickle watering in series. The unit is simply positioned with support. No maintenance is required.
