This is a stainless steel line; it is a limit and a place to rest. In just one item, we provide a solution to the problems of co-ordinating urban space.
Alexander VI shared out the New World proportionally between Spain and Portugal on 4th May 1492 by using a line. Lines are also used by firearms to aim at the target, for trains and buses to travel on, to inherit fortunes or suffer misfortunes or to change time zones.
This line of this rail acts as a barrier to pedestrians and as a place to lean on. It restricts access, marks out areas, acts as protection against falls, or subtly accommodates the public. It is of minimum formal expression and offers many functions without being a visual barrier.
It is manufactured in a single material; stainless steel, has a light appearance and is essentially hard-wearing. It is very robust and any of its parts may be easily changed. Its modular design means it may be installed in continuous sequences, according to needs.
The support is made of three ground AISI 304 stainless steel platens, joined by Allen countersunk-head stainless steel screws and 84 mm and 2 mm thick tube rail in the same polished material. Both the height and the length of this rail can be combined in several ways.
The rail is delivered disassembled in two parts; the support and the tube. Assembly instructions are provided with the rail. The support is sunk 100 mm into the ground and fixed with anchors for concrete with a platen of 130 x 130 x 6 mm. This unit needs no maintenance of any kind.
