Why have we made the effort to recover a lamp that was created in 1954? Because it is an illustration of rigour, a well understood example of 'less is more', a perfect union of aesthetics and function. Because it is a lesson in industrial design, part of our homage to this great master.

Conceived as a system of lineal suspension for interiors, it is based on the repetition of bulbs that project the light towards the ceiling, where it is reflected, creating ambient lighting with excellent diffusion and maximum output. Since it is a modular system, it enables uniform lines of light to be projected with a distance of one metre between each bulb, and can be extended without limit. Its discreet elegance enables a number of layouts. From a single line of light, able to solve the problem of the most inhospitable of corridors, to the repetition of dozens of lines in parallel, creating a spectacular effect that converts large spaces into cosy places. In this way, the AJ Rødovre succeeds in giving quality to the nudity of the incandescent bulb.
