Dirk Jan Broekhuizen is a versatile interior architect, who achieved national fame when he won the “Bathroom Design Award” both in 1996 and in 1998. For the winning bathroom of 1998 he designed a sofa of stainless steel and wood. It was this design that attracted the attention of Spectrum a few years later. After a few minor adaptations ”STRIPS” was created, which was introduced by Spectrum during the Furniture Fair 2002 in Cologne! Because of the use of materials, stainless steel with wood (the white maple or the brown-red iroko), “STRIPS” can be used in many ways: as a waiting bench in public areas, as an eye-catcher in your hall, sun lounge or bathroom, but also in parks, town centres and as a garden bench.
Strips is available in 2 sizes: 1,40 mtr. and 1,90 mtr., and in the following types of wood: iroko or maple.
