The Kombù programme is an innovative departure from the usual way of conceiving complex lighting systems, from the pleasing spareness and discretion of the unlit object to the multisensory nature of the luminous and illuminating object, which is also designed for sound diffusion and emergency light, smoke detection for fire prevention.
It is a complex system made up of over 50 different items, for both low- and line voltage illumination, with a 20x20 cm base module that brings all the elements that compose it into a harmonious whole.
The lamps can be either recessed or suspended, making it possible to apply the system on both ceilings and walls using special spacers. With their modular development, the three types of lamps ensure extremely high versatility for all types of light source requirements:
- AR111 low-voltage lamps, with a variable beam that swivels along three axes;
- Philips HI-PAR 30 Master Colour metal halide lamps, adjustable in three directions;
- Dulux type fluorescent lamps for direct and indirect lighting
In addition, both the sound module and the smoke detector module can be added while maintaining the same coordinated system image.
Depending on requirements, each of the above light sources can be fitted with accessories such as diffusers, including coloured ones, that make it possible to conceal the lamp (for an anti-glare effect and at the same time diffuse the light), coloured filters, and elements for emergency signage. It is a domino-type modular system, strongly harmonic in the development of its infinite compositional possibilities, with a highly technical design idea and exquisitely spare lines.
The possibility of combining multiple types of light sources enables it to respond to all design needs.
Kombù is a system built with aluminium extruded elements and steel joints and finishings, making for lightness and easy installation.
