Product sheet Eiermann Table 1/2

Architonic-ID:  1003965
Designer:
Egon Eiermann
Year:
1953

The original “Eiermann table 1” was designed by Egon Eiermann in 1953 with a diagonal cross-brace fixed at an angle.
A 1965 knock down variation of the original was conceived by colleagues of Eiermann.
Although not designed by Egon Eiermann it is also referred to as the “Eiermann table 2”. This design includes a cross-brace at right-angles to the ground.
Although very similar superficially, the details are quite different. The original “Eiermann table 1” indicates a very carefully considered solution, which was indicative of Eiermann work. He was fanatical about the perfection of details and proportion.
The Lampert and Sudrow production of a demountable version of the original table began in 1998. The “Eiermann table” of 1965 lacks the detailed consideration of “Eiermann Table 1”, but it is still a practical alternative. especially for dining or conference tables. For desks the original “Eiermann table 1” is the better solution.
In 1995 Lampert & Sudrow signed a license agreement with the family of Egon Eiermann giving the sole rights to manufacture the Eiermann tables. Lampert & Sudrow manufactures both versions, the more challenging original “Eiermann table 1” in the demountable version and and the slightly cheaper and the more locksmith type sixties version. A host of sizes and finishes are available. Depending on quantities individual solutions are possible.
