The easily adjustable Type 600 counterpoised standard lamp was designed and constructed by Rosmarie and Rico Baltensweiler for their own use in 1950.
Publication of the design in an avant-garde specialist journal resulted in strong demand from exclusive furnishing retailers in Switzerland and abroad which led to establishment of the Baltensweiler Studio in 1951.
