His first creation was a chaise longue. Starting with this furnishing element, he succeeded in designing a collection that offers a number of different seating types. He decided not to make drastic changes in the image of the upholstered units, but instead chose to preserve the purity of their shapes and to use coloured frames matching with the shade of the upholstery. Their decorative touch consists in a thick quilting that bestows a three-dimensional look which would otherwise be hardly perceived.Vincent van Duysen’s creative approach is evident in his instinctive design and choices of colour.
